PORTLAND, Maine — July 9, 2008 – Preti Flaherty announced today that
Patrick Strawbridge, an associate in the firm’s Litigation Group, will be
leaving the law firm to begin a highly-competitive clerkship with Supreme Court
Justice Clarence Thomas. Strawbridge was chosen in October 2006 and begins the

extremely bright young attorney and we extend our ongoing support as he excels
in his legal career,” said Jonathan Piper, Managing Partner of Preti
