Successfully defended Sunday River in jury trial regarding claim of alleged
ski school negligence.
Successfully defended Sugarloaf in jury trial
regarding alleged ski school negligence.
Currently representing ski area
trade association in - stakeholder negotiations and legislative lobbying on
legislation and subsequent regulations addressing water withdrawal in Maine; -
proposed air regulations affecting diesel engines and ski lift backup motors in
Maine.
Successfully negotiated favorable cashout settlement agreement for
Heavenly ski resort for a Superfund liability claim in California.
Negotiated renewal of master property management agreement between Mount Snow
and quartershare condominium homeowners association for Mount Snow Grand Summit
hotel.
Assisted Killington ski resort in successful negotiation of special
rate energy contract with Central Vermont Public Service.
Assisted Mount
Snow resort in negotiation of revision to special rate energy contract with
Green Mountain Power Company.
Negotiated financing, construction
agreements and architectural contracts and obtained necessary environmental and
zoning approvals for construction of townhouse project at Sunday River ski
resort.
Represented coalition of timeshare entities in successfully
drafting and obtaining enactment of amendments to Maine property tax assessment
provisions affecting timeshares.
Negotiated purchase and sale contract for
gondola and gondola cars for Heavenly ski resort.
On behalf of Heavenly ski resort and American Skiing Companys real estate
company, successfully negotiated establishment of redevelopment district in City
of South Lake Tahoe, CA, funded with tax exempt bonds and hotel occupancy taxes,
allowing development of gondola from Heavenly ski resort to downtown development
district and a substantial interval ownership hotel.
