Linda joined the Augusta office of Preti Flaherty in June 2000. Her
work concentrates on Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications, encompassing
transactions, regulatory issues, legislation, market operations and
litigation.
A Maine native, she graduated from South Portland High
School, Lesley College, and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Maine
School of Law in 1996 after nearly a decade of professional experience with
electric utility regulation. She is a member of the Maine State Bar Association
and the Economic Development council of Maine.
Prior to joining Preti
Flaherty, Linda was a utility consumer advocate, a legislative advocate
representing municipal interests before the Maine legislature, Maine's federal
delegation and various state and federal agencies, and a policy analyst with the
Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, participating in the
development of policies affecting the economic development within the
state. Linda maintains a focus of supporting economic development and the
retention and creation of jobs for Maine’s citizens.
Currently a resident
of Gray, she is on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Kennebec Council
and is a volunteer for the Family Violence Project.
