James C. Bush joined Preti Flaherty’s Portland office in 2005. Prior to
joining the firm, James worked for Preti Flaherty as a summer associate in 2004.
He also worked as a student advocate in the Housing Law and Litigation unit of
the Hale and Dorr Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School in 2003.
James is a cum laude graduate of Vermont Law School where he served on
the Vermont Law Review. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering, magna
cum laude, from Norwich University in 2000 where he was also a four-year
letter winner in basketball, serving as captain for two
campaigns.
Prior to launching his legal career, James worked with Edwards and Kelcey,
Inc. of Manchester, NH as a civil engineer where he had the opportunity to work
on various projects throughout New England including design of various roadway
and pedestrian facilities, water infiltration and drainage systems and
rehabilitation projects.
